Introducing Kids Club Culture.

Before our first lecture I knew nothing about this Culture, I knew Boy George dressed like this but I didn't realise there was a whole gang that did this?! after looking at a few pictures in lesson I want to look more into it and delve into their lifestyle.

[Langaingjr 2006] These young adults dress up in bizarre outlandish outfits to shock and get attention of the general public.They branded them self in a certain way to become famous. They're known for partying nearly every night and for taking copious amounts of drugs. They wanted money for just being 'Fabulous'.
This extreme way came from a backlash from punk. They brought clothes and customised them in weird ways. This was a 24/7 lifestyle. They lived in big groups in flats and shared each others clothes.  They never looked for approval and to be fashionable just for their friends to tell them they looked good. One favourite club they went to was called The Blitz. They'd be planning their looks for 2 days making new costumes for each week or planning hairstyle. One woman use to take the tuesday off work just so she would be ready for thursday night.  Only people who made a good effort were allowed into the clubs. It was never about who you were it was how you looked. Everyone was sleeping with everybody this was before anyone knew what aids was. Some of the young adults got paid by club members to draw people into the clubs.
