Makeup Ideas

With hair I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I'm finding it hard with makeup I just can't picture anything right now. I know I want to add a design on the ears so i'm going to start with that first.

As the scene I have picked sally has just been shopping with Lothar and bought a fur coat. I could imagine her to be covered in jewels too. One idea I had was instead of earrings was to either cover her ear in glitter or diamonds all on her ear. This is something I will need to try out. The best way to do this would be applying eyelash glue then the glitter or stones.

I prefer the first image when there is less glitter. In the second image I tried adding a different colour of glitter into the deep parts of the ear to give it a contrast. However doing it on myself didn't work very well. I will test this out again on a model. and use a darker glitter?

So I tried my ear design again on a model so it was easier to do these were some pictures.

At first I just added the glitter like I did to my own ear, then had the idea of adding gems somewhere on the ear.

I filled the whole top of the ear with pearls however I will probably end up doing this with gems.

I then made the glitter a lot thick so you couldn't really see the skin.

I tried adding darker glitter into the inner part of the ear. However I didn't like it, I thought it looked dirty the glitter was chunky and just didn't work. 

I cleaned all the glitter out the middle of the ear. I really like how this looks it reminds me more of a jewellery piece. 

I wanted to see what it would look like with white on the inside of the ear however I feel like you loose the whole look of the glitter ear. 

Another idea I had was to do with eyelashes I knew some how I wanted to draw or place eyelashes big on the bottom lashes. My first idea was painting the lashes on the bottom so I gave that a go

As you can see it didn't work. It just reminds me of kiss makeup. I had to scrap this one and try another way.
I chose to chop up some eyelashes and stick them on individually.

I like how this turned out however I wanted to try and see if this works with feathers or string to give a more contemporary club culture twist.
